THINGS WE TRY TO KEEP IN MIND AT BIG THINK STUDIOS:

  1. The opposition always has more power and more money. But our clients have something more important.
  2. On a good day we’re translators and educators, not just designers and producers.
  3. We work on some weighty issues, so we all need to laugh as much as possible.
  4. Our growth model: do great work for one client that we can’t wait to show the next one.
  5. Our clients are usually the minority voice. We should never let them look or sound like it.
  6. We will approach everything we do with honesty and respect, until otherwise notified.
  7. Good, smart concepts grow a company faster than any layout, typeface, or color.
  1. Every client has an opinion. Let’s tell them if we think it’s counter-productive and then get out of the way.
  2. Ads that emphasize despair are a turn-off. Humor, intelligence, and truth will win the biggest audience.
  3. Our clients don’t know design and advertising like we do, but they know their issue better than we ever will.
  4. We can make the biggest changes when we think of ideas that others can’t.
  5. Never push any design on a client. It hardly ever works out well.
  6. The pursuit of keeping things simple and efficient should be shared by all.
